About

The look of a serious bar,
without the serious prices.

Wooden beams, a chandelier, and shelves of bottles lit from behind. It looks like a proper Japanese bar, and it is, but the idea is simple: whisky, rum and gin, mixed with soda into a tall, cold highball, at a price you don’t have to think about. Hiroshima-made whisky and gin are on the shelf too, if you want to try something local.

Sit at the counter on your own, or take a table with friends. No reservation needed for small groups; just walk in.

Groups & tour guides

Bring your group.
We make it easy.

Tour guides, group leaders, friends travelling together: a Japanese bar that can actually seat a group is rare. We have tables, the prices are on the menu, there is no drink-all-you-can package to explain, and everyone pays for what they had. Smoking is allowed, which matters for some groups.

Groups of 2–14

Reserve a table by phone or Instagram and we will hold it. Let us know headcount changes as early as you can. Receipts available.

Private hire

90 minutes, from ¥50,000

Minimum spend ¥50,000, which goes toward your drinks; if the bill is lower, we charge the difference. Longer hire on request.

For guides

Send us the date, time and number of guests on Instagram and we will confirm in English. A good last stop after dinner in Nagarekawa, 3 minutes on foot from Ebisu-cho tram stop.

Drinks

What’s a highball?

Japan’s favourite way to drink whisky: a shot of whisky over ice, topped with very cold soda water in a tall glass. Light, crisp and easy to drink. We make it with whisky, rum or gin. ¥500 cover charge per person.

Whisky

Scotch, Japanese and bourbon, including whisky made here in Hiroshima. Highball, neat or on the rocks.

Rum

Rum and soda is lighter and a little sweeter than a whisky highball. Also neat or on the rocks.

Gin

Gin and tonic, gin and soda, including Hiroshima gin.

Snacks & soft drinks

Our freshly made popcorn is the favourite. Other small snacks and soft drinks are available.

Our main bar

Go deeper into whisky and rum.

Our main bar, open for 20 years.

About 1,000 bottles of whisky and rum, including one of Hiroshima’s largest selections of Japanese whisky and Japanese rum. The owner visits distilleries around the world herself and chooses every bottle and limited release. Pours you won’t find anywhere else, such as “Lito on a Journey”, our own single-cask whisky.

A whisky and rum specialist bar featured on Japanese television and in national newspapers.

Note: no cigarettes at the main bar (e-cigarettes only). If you prefer a smoke-free room, that’s the one.
